My path from traditional finance and public equity research to hands-on fractional CFO and financial modeling work.
Mani Saeed, CFA
My career began in traditional finance. I supported financial advisors, worked as an analyst in wealth management, contributed to the treasury team of a publicly traded company and later covered public companies as a research analyst.
Those experiences gave me a strong analytical foundation, but over time I realized I wanted to be closer to the people making the decisions. I wanted to understand what they were building and feel that my work was genuinely useful to them.
In 2020, I began working independently. Since then, I have helped businesses and projects get off the ground, improve their forecasting and reporting, build financial models, prepare for financing or investment, and bring structure to complex financial situations.
I still cover five public companies as a research analyst, but the work I value most is helping founders and project leaders move their businesses and ideas forward.
